The Foundation
Our pre-school was founded in 1997 as an affiliate of Immanuel Ministries International Limited (IMIL), whose founders, Apostle Dr Kenneth and Pastor Kerlina Niles, saw it needful to incorporate Christian education with academic prowess based on a philosophy rooted in Proverbs 22:6 which says when we train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old, he would not depart from it.
We exist to change the trajectory of each child in our care towards excellence and the fulfilment of their God given purpose. We see education as the tool that will help to accomplish this.
It is our desire to establish critical thinkers in order to create opportunities for a well-rounded student who will affect their homes, communities and the nation. The curricula will support the collaborative approach which will offer exposure in all aspects of life, establishing concepts for discipline, innovation and creativity.

OUR FOUNDERS
Meet the visionaries of the Educational thrust of IMIL
DR. KENNETH NILESAPOSTLE DR KENNETH NILES was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Immanuel Ministries International. A multifaceted man of God, called to declare the Word of God not only in his native land - Trinidad and Tobago, but also regionally and internationally. As a result of this mandate, he travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean, the United States, Europe and Africa.
Apostle Dr. Niles was also an established Family Counsellor, Counselling Psychologist, Mediator and Conference Facilitator. Together with his wife, Kerlina, they counselled for over forty years and conducted Family Life Seminars. Dr Niles was an active member of the Rotary Club of T&T where he served in various capacities. He also authored of two books addressing male issues with a focus on the restoration of the male man “Man to Man”. He has also founded a Publishing company called His Publications. In addition he served as a University Lecturer in the under graduate and graduate programmes. This faithful man joined his faithful God on February 08, 2025. |
PASTOR KERLINA NILESREVEREND KERLINA NILES is the co-founder and President of Immanuel Ministries International (I.M.I.L.). She is a Fellow of the Governance Institute UK and Ireland.
She began ministry and also started Bible School training at age seventeen and has served in the areas of Christian Education, Evangelism, Children’s Ministry, Family Counseling and Administration. As Senior Pastor and Visionary of Immanuel Ministries International, she served as the Director of the Music and Creative Arts Department. She holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Education of The Praises Educational Academy (T.P.E.A.) She is also actively involved in the ministry of Aglow International. |
MS. GILLIAN SEALEYGILLIAN SEALEY is the Principal of The Praises Educational Academy (T.P.E.A.) and has served in this capacity for the past twenty-seven (27) years.
In 1993 she was accepted at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus, Trinidad and Tobago and successfully completed a Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education as well as a Diploma in Early Childhood Administration and Management. As Principal of Praises Early Childhood Learning Centre, she has been a faithful steward preparing children in Chaguanas and environs for primary school education. In 2012 she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education at the Caribbean Nazarene College where she majored in Psychology and Counseling. This addition to her portfolio empowered her to give further support to parents who sought her advice. Principal Sealey’s care for her charges stems from her passion for loving learning. It is her hope that the children develop the same passion for learning and grow bountifully in their academics. “Children must love learning and enjoy what they read and explore,” she says. She is propelled by her motivations to ensure that children find joy in learning and hopes that this would encourage parents to become more actively involved in their child’s education. |
